Networking: Digital business cards in the web app

This template lets you activate a simple, fast networking tool at your event: Participants create their digital business card (name, company, role, contact information, links) in the web app and can share it with others via QR code or "swap" button. This creates a clean contact pool directly at the event – without paper cards, without typing, and with the clear consent of the participants.

What this template covers

  • Profile/Business card: Name, company, position, photo (optional), email/phone (optional), LinkedIn/website
  • Networking opt-in: Participants decide whether their business card is visible/exchangeable.
  • Exchange flow:
    • QR code on your own business card
    • Scan → Contact is saved
    • Optional: "Request contact" instead of immediate exchange
  • Contact list: „"My Contacts" in the web app, including export (e.g., CSV)
  • Follow-up: Optional automatic email after the event with a link to the contact list

Here's how to use the template

  1. Define business card fields (keep them short, only relevant mandatory fields)
  2. Configure opt-in/privacy policy texts
  3. Activate the "Networking" menu item in the web app.
  4. Test QR scan (smartphone camera)
  5. Make it visible on site (Screens/Agenda/Moderation: "Now exchange business cards")
  6. Export contacts or send a follow-up email after the event.
