Using templates in ONevents

Purpose #

With Templates Can you save elements or entire events and use them in other events? in the same space Reuse. This speeds up setup and ensures consistent standards.

Supported template types #

You can save and reload the following content as a template:

  • Emails
  • Interactions
  • Activities
  • PDFs
  • Placeholder
  • Buckets
  • Moderations
  • Pop-ups
  • Questionnaires
  • Entire events

Save templates #

A) Save template from an event #

  1. Open the desired Event.
  2. Navigate to the relevant area (e.g. Emails, Interactions, PDFs …).
  3. Select the item you want to save.
  4. Click on „"Save as a template"“.
  5. Forgive one Template names (recommended: clear + standardized).
  6. Save.

B) Save template in space context (if available) #

  1. Open your Space.
  2. Go to the area where you manage the item.
  3. Create/open element → „"Save as a template"“.
  4. Name → Save.

Loading templates in an event #

  1. Open the Target event (the event into which you want to add content).
  2. Open the appropriate section (e.g. Pop-ups).
  3. Click on „Create new pop-up“
  4. A dialog box opens asking whether a template should be loaded or a blank element created.
  5. Select the desired template.
  6. Confirm the import.
  7. Next, check content such as text, sender, timing, visibility, and placeholders.

Use entire events as a template #

If you save an entire event as a template, you can quickly recreate recurring event formats (e.g., "Webinar Standard", "On-site Training", "Trade Fair Lead Flow").

Proceed:

  1. Configure the event completely (including all desired modules/elements).
  2. Event → Settings → Save as Template.
  3. Create new event → Select from event template.
  4. Adjust event-specific details (date, location, agenda, communication times, content).

Manage templates #

In the Space, under the "Templates" menu item, all created templates can be edited and customized. Templates that have already been loaded will not be changed.

  • Naming conventions to use:
    • MAIL | Confirmation | Standard
    • Pop-up | Check-in | QR code notification
    • FORM | Feedback | Session
  • Keep the template library leanAvoid duplicates, delete/archive outdated templates.
  • Maintain master setupA "Golden Event" as a source of new templates saves time in the long run.
  • Briefly test after importingPreview/test send (for emails), visibility (pop-ups), logic (buckets/placeholders), PDF output.

Are templates available spacewide? #

Yes. Templates that you save are available to you. in all events of your space available.

Are templates automatically updated when I change the original? #

Recommendation: Treat templates as "independent building blocks". If you want to change defaults, update the template specifically and re-import it into new events as needed.

What do I typically need to adjust after loading? #

Event-specific content such as:

  • Event name, date, location
  • Sender/Reply-to (for emails)
  • Timings (Reminder Times)
  • Agenda/Sessions (for questionnaires/interactions)
  • Texts, links, calls to action
