A QR code allows you to direct guests straight to a specific stage, for example from a poster, a place card, or a slide. You generate the QR code directly in the control room.
Step 1: Check the stage slug #
1. Open under Director the desired stage. In the tab Generally is in the field Slug the last part of the stage's address.
2. Give a meaningful slug, e.g. keynote instead of a number. The address would then be, for example:. https://dein-event.onevents.app/stages/keynote. Save the stage.
Define the slug before distributing the QR code. If you change it later, already printed codes will lead nowhere.
Step 2: Design and download the QR code #
1. Click next to the slug Generate QR code. The QR code generator opens with a preview.
2. Adjust the code:
- URL: The stage address. Use the arrow icon to open it for testing.
- Type: Square (classic), dots or round
- Display logo: Place your logo in the center of the code.
- Color and Background color: e.g. in your brand colors
3. Click on Download and save the image file.
Tips #
- Ensure sufficient contrast between color and background. Dark code on a light background scans most reliably.
- Test the code with multiple smartphones before printing.
- Depending on the event format, guests must be logged in to view the stage. Without logging in, they will first be taken to the login page.
