Sessions are individual program items within an event, such as workshops, breakout sessions, or presentations with limited capacity. Guests can register for sessions, and you can see who is attending which session at any time.
First step: Create a session bucket #
Sessions reside in a separate bucket. Without a session bucket, the list remains below. Sessions It's empty and there's no button to create a new entry.
1. Go to Administration → Buckets → Create new bucket.
2. Give one name Enter, for example, "Session", and set Session Bucket click on "Yes". The placeholder, e.g. %SESSION%, generates ONevents from the name.

3. Place under Edit attributes Define which fields a session has, such as identifier, name, from, to, image, and description. You should make name, from, and to mandatory fields.
4. In the riders Template and Template: Detail You design how sessions look in the overview and in the detailed view.
Step 1: Create a session #
1. Go to Sessions. Here you can see all sessions with the person in charge, visibility, and guests.

2. Click on Create new session.
3. Fill the tab Generally out of:
- User: Who is responsible for the session, e.g., the speaker
- Visible: „"No", as long as the session is not yet to be displayed.
- The fields of your session bucket, e.g. identifier, name, From, Until, Picture and Description

Step 2: Assigning guests #
In the rider Guests You select the people who will participate in the session. The available options are the guests who are registered for the event. Log in all users You assign them all at once.

Guests can also register themselves:
- during registration, if under Settings → Login & Registration Select session during registration is active,
- about the placeholder Select Session in the session bucket template. It generates the "Join session" and "Leave session" buttons. You can find it in the template under Insert placeholder.
Step 3: Controlling locations and visibility #
In the rider Miscellaneous:
- Maximum number of registrations: Maximum number of participants
- Hide when the maximum number of registrations is reached: Full sessions disappear from the selection.
- Automatically add users: Guests are automatically assigned to the session.
- Standard session: Pre-selected at check-in (one per session area)
- Visible in loop and Make it invisible after the end: When activated together, the session disappears from the overview after it ends. It remains accessible via the direct link.

Save the session. With Save & create new session You create the next one directly.
Step 4: Show sessions on a stage #
Add the placeholder for your session bucket with the addition BUCKET. into a stage, out %SESSION% so %BUCKET.SESSION%. The placeholder from the bucket list (%SESSION%This alone won't work on stage. The guests will then see the sessions as you designed them in the bucket template. (With the placeholder...) Enrolled In the template, you indicate whether the guest is already logged in.
